Mary's Moments

(I know I know...2 posts in one week! Try to contain yourself...) As I was browsing through the 400+ photos I've taken (along with the kids) on my cell phone, I realized that many of them are crazy, random, and fun memories that I've been able to capture all on my little device. Some have been while on the road to the grandparents house, some have been out to eat, and some have been here at home. Nonetheless, I thought they were fun and would share them! My cell phone has this fun little program with all sorts of photo borders that we got a little carried away with one day while we were waiting in the car for Daniel. Matthew in Jail... I know it's been so long since I've posted a decent update on what's going on with us! Here's a much needed update on our little munchkins- Aren't these clouds beautiful?? Katherine lost her second tooth the other day in the car!! She was so excited that the Tooth Fairy was going to come that night (well she hoped;-) Since Daniel was out of town all week on a business trip and Grandma Farmer was visiting that day, I completely forgot about putting the dollar under her pillow!! We had put her tooth in a felt type gray bag and supposedly in the middle of the night, which I don't remember at all, she came in crying that the tooth fairy hadn't come to bring her a dollar and that her tooth was still there. I felt HORRIBLE the next morning that I completely forgot! So I tried to cover myself and told her that I BET the Tooth Fairy couldn't see her tooth since it was in that gray bag and the Tooth Fairy is soo small (like Tinkerbell size) so she probably just c...

I have always found it fun to bargain shop and find the best deals possible. Not only have I enjoyed doing this as a married Mom with 3 kids, but I have always liked trying to find a "good deal" and being creative in doing so, even growing up as a child. So with the heat of summer and the increasing costs of just about everything, I thought I'd post a quick post of my fave places to save money. #1 - Freecycle. This is a free yahoo group that is similar to a virtual garage sale, but the catch is everything posted must be 100% free. Everyone gives away stuff they don't need/want anymore and people go pick it up if they want it. There is a group for every city, even small cities like our good 'ol Leander. Someone elses trash could me another's treasure. I have found shelves for the boys rooms, toys, clothes, a kid picnic table, coffee/end table, plants, and much more off of there. I've also been able to get rid of a lot of our "crap" and baby things...

Well I can't believe that 1 year ago (May 7th) Christopher was born! Happy Birthday, Christopher! I just can't believe how fast the time flies by! Everyone has always told me that and I just kind of smiled and nodded, but now that I have kids of my own, I truly believe it. He had fun eating his birthday cup cake (we had a laid back birthday since Matthew's was 2 wks earlier and we had just finished his birthday cake). He loves balls and had fun with his ball popper toy and a few other toys he got:) We took Christopher in to have his 1 year checkup on his birthday and is doing well. It looks like we will have to have tubes put in his ears since he's had almost 6 ear infections in the past 6 months. We are making a trip to the ENT later next week and hopefully that'll go well. Three years ago, Matthew George Farmer entered this world and we are so thankful for him! Matthew is such a fun addition to our family and keeps us constantly entertained and on our toes. He is definitely curious, so I think we did well in giving him a middle name of "(Curious) George". :) Over the years I have noticed that he is a negotiator (does a good job of getting what he wants/convincing people to get what he wants), a people-person (is not afraid to talk to anyone about anything...he was "preaching" to a tatood hispanic man at Wal-mart and showing him his Bible and had no inhibitions about it), and he loves to "investigate" (i.e.- be curious about things). We have had so much fun watching him grow and change over the years and I can't wait to continue to watch him change and grow. We love you Matthew!

I AM AN AUNT!! Yay!! Joshua Charles Imo(sp?)Simme was born at 4:45 a.m. on 4/4/08 and weighed 9 lbs 2 oz.!! Congratulations Simmes!! Mom and baby are doing very well and of course Dad is happy too:) I will post pictures as soon as I have some! Unfortunately, I won't be able to visit until next weekend, but will post pictures from family as soon as I can!
