Christopher turns 1!

Well I can't believe that 1 year ago (May 7th) Christopher was born! Happy Birthday, Christopher! I just can't believe how fast the time flies by! Everyone has always told me that and I just kind of smiled and nodded, but now that I have kids of my own, I truly believe it. He had fun eating his birthday cup cake (we had a laid back birthday since Matthew's was 2 wks earlier and we had just finished his birthday cake). He loves balls and had fun with his ball popper toy and a few other toys he got:) We took Christopher in to have his 1 year checkup on his birthday and is doing well. It looks like we will have to have tubes put in his ears since he's had almost 6 ear infections in the past 6 months. We are making a trip to the ENT later next week and hopefully that'll go well. I'm ready for him to feel better all the time and not have random sad times because of his ears hurting him. At our church, they sing a song called "Pat the Bible" in each of the S...

Happy 3rd Birthday Matthew!

Three years ago, Matthew George Farmer entered this world and we are so thankful for him! Matthew is such a fun addition to our family and keeps us constantly entertained and on our toes. He is definitely curious, so I think we did well in giving him a middle name of "(Curious) George". :) Over the years I have noticed that he is a negotiator (does a good job of getting what he wants/convincing people to get what he wants), a people-person (is not afraid to talk to anyone about anything...he was "preaching" to a tatood hispanic man at Wal-mart and showing him his Bible and had no inhibitions about it), and he loves to "investigate" (i.e.- be curious about things). We have had so much fun watching him grow and change over the years and I can't wait to continue to watch him change and grow. We love you Matthew!

Jelly Beans, "So Big", and Airplane Sandwiches!

Today's weather has been great here in Leander so we decided to venture out and play this morning! We went on a nature hike across the street from us in the empty field and walked along where the pond is by our house. The kids had fun throwing rocks and just exploring. Here are a few pictures from today- The kids were given a jelly bean this morning and while they were eating it I decided to snap a few pictures (ok, it was sorta a bribe to make them smile, I admit). You can see Christopher enjoying his jelly bean thoroughly with all the drool down his chin (yes, he had a yellow one). And yes I know he's only 10 months and had a jelly bean...once again, he's a third child:) (And he does have a rash all over his arms/legs from an allergic reaction (we think) to some meds he's taking, although the doctor thinks it's from part of the bronchiolitus infection he had.) Christopher's new thing we've had fun watching him do is "SO BIG"! Whenever we say thos...

March is here!

I can't believe that it's already March and Easter will be here before we know it! Spring break for us is next week and I have to say that I'm excited about being able to sleep in a bit and not have to get Katherine up and ready for the bus at the crack of dawn (6:15 a.m). Plus Matthew will have a playmate the whole week, so it'll be great:) I know I haven't posted a new blog in a long time so I thought I'd better!! Everyone here in the Farmer household is doing well and staying busy. Katherine has been doing very well in school and recently received her scores back from being tested on reading at school. So far, she is above average, and according to her report card from December, she was already reading where she should be at the end of the year. I had always thought she was behind a little on reading because we hadn't worked with her constantly on it, but I guess she's better off than we thought! She just reached her 200th book read so that means she ...

6 years...

So it's January 19th...our anniversary! I can't believe we've been married for six years. In some ways it seems like we've been married such a loooonngg time, but in other ways it feels like we're still dating. Nevertheless, the past 6 years have been great, even as I remember the challenges we've faced together. I think they've just made us stronger. I can honestly say that after 6 years, we have never had a fight where both of us were angry and yelling at each other...like the movies. Thank the Lord! There may have been times where we weren't just soo lovey dovey with each other, or may have said things that weren't nice, but for some reason we seem to get over it quickly and move on. I'm thankful for Daniel and how loving he is towards me and his consistency in showing love to me no matter what. After 6 years, 3 kids, 4 apartments, 1 house, 1 dog, and 3 cities later, I'm so blessed to have Daniel as my husband!
