We will miss you, Grandpa...

Romans 8:38-39 - "For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord."

Today Grandpa Farmer went home to be with Jesus. He was 92 years young and an amazing man that was an example to us all. A few weeks back when we went to visit, I asked him what his favorite hymn was and he said Blessed Assurance. Isn't it wonderful that today he is in Paradise and is able to praise HIS Savior ALL DAY LONG!! Hallelujah! We will miss hearing your voice, Grandpa, but look forward to seeing you again soon.

Blessed assurance, Jesus is mine!
O what a foretaste of glory divine!
Heir of salvation, purchase of God,
Born of His Spirit, washed in His blood.

This is my story, this is my song,
Praising my Savior, all the day long;
This is my story, this is my song,
Praising my Savior, all the day long.

Perfect submission, perfect delight,
Visions of rapture now burst on my sight;
Angels descending bring from above
Echoes of mercy, whispers of love.

This is my story, this is my song,
Praising my Savior, all the day long;
This is my story, this is my song,
Praising my Savior, all the day long.

Perfect submission, all is at rest
I in my Savior am happy and blest,
Watching and waiting, looking above,
Filled with His goodness, lost in His love.

This is my story, this is my song,
Praising my Savior, all the day long;
This is my story, this is my song,
Praising my Savior, all the day long.

Old Navy Coupon!!

Wahoo...I don't know if I've ever been more excited about a coupon before! Lately, I've been following a lot of neat money-saving blogs to see if I could cut our grocery budget down from about $1,000 a month and I'm proud to say that I've done that this month and cut it down to $400...more than HALF! That's partially why I haven't posted blogs in a while because this definitely keeps me busy, but I guess is well worth it! I use to just clip a few coupons, head to the store, and be so excited when I'd save $15-20 in one trip. (If you're interested in knowing the money-saving blogs I follow, let me know and I'll forward them to you!) Anyways, OldNavyWeekly.com hides several coupons on there each week (usually reloads on Thursdays) and a big coupon on there is $75 off $100 purchase. I tried last week to get it and even stayed up til 2 a.m. trying, but no luck (I really enjoy the challenge:). Last night, I tried at 8 p.m. and found they reloaded...

Our Thanksgiving

I know this is a little late, but better late than never right!? We had a very fun Thanksgiving this year, as usual, visiting the families in Houston. We ate great food, as always, had fun family time, and I even got to spend kidless girl time with my sister which was lots of fun! Grandpa Farmer was here for Thanksgiving this year and this man just amazes me. This is Daniel's almost 92 year old Grandpa with Christopher, almost 7 months old. Grandpa is in such great health and puts most 70 year olds to shame! We went to a Christmas tree farm the day after Thanksgiving and he was walking all through the forest carrying a measuring stick for the tree and did a great job keeping up with us! Not only does he NOT need a cane, wheel chair, dentures, a nursing home, or any of those other "old-people" things, but he does an amazing job holding a conversation and following a football game! Anyways, he is a great Godly man and an honor to be around. I hope my boys will follow in his...

Whew...what a week/end!

This past weekend my brother got married in Indiana and we had a great but exhausting time. Who would have ever thought that taking a weekend trip to see your brother get married would be so much fun but even more exhausting? Well this was the kids first airplane trip and they enjoyed it! We left Thursday evening after Daniel got home from work to drive to Houston so we could fly out from there on Friday morning. We ended up getting to Houston around 9:30 p.m. and didn't get to bed until 10:30 and we had to be up at 3:45 AM on Friday to catch our 6 a.m. flight. I couldn't sleep Thursday night for fear that I would miss the alarm clock so I tossed and turned all night. Plus we were all pretty excited so that made it even harder to sleep. I was thinking the kids would wake up pretty grouchy at 3:45 but to our amazement, they were up and excited and ready to go. They didn't even go back to sleep in the car! When we got to the airport, I realized we had a few pitied eyes looki...
