School's Begun, Oh What Fun!

Well it's that time again...Back to School time! This time of year always brings mixed feelings for me. It's a fresh start, new teachers, new friends, new schedule, new routine, early bed times, etc. However, it's also an end to the freedom of summer, pool time, staying up late, etc. Sometimes I feel like I start school when Katherine does because I have to get up early with her, take her to the bus, pack her lunches, and get myself on a schedule so I can keep up with everything. However, routine is good and it always seems to make everyone more at ease with things. As for my morning, I get up at 6 a.m. and go jogging, come back and get Katherine up and ready for school, eat breakfast, take Katherine to bus by 6:45, and then head back home for the day to begin with the boys. No matter how crazy some days seem, it's all worth it in the end! So, here are a few pictures of Katherine's first day headed to 1st grade! Up early...heading to school The thing Katherine didn...

Happy 6th Birthday, Katherine!

August 23rd, 2002 Katherine Sage Farmer Happy 6th Birthday, Katherine! We had fun celebrating Katherine's birthday yesterday and I can't believe she's already 6 years old! Time flies by so quickly and you never really believe it when people tell you until they're all grown up. Katherine has been and is such a joy to our family. Sometimes I wonder if she's an angel just by how mature she responds to things, how unselfish she is, and how genuinely she cares for other people. She is always sharing things unselfishly with her brothers, sharing the Gospel with her friend down the street, and always has a heart of obedience towards us. I must admit that she has been an easy child and a wonderful girl who loves the Lord. We are blessed! Here are a few pictures from her family birthday celebration on Saturday. I tried to make a Barbie cake, which wasn't as hard as I thought! I was actually really pleased with it, but wish I would have bought the candy letters for the ...

Sweet Family Vacation...

1 Chronicles 16:34 - "Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; His love endures forever." Every August, the Farmer clan (Daniel's parents and siblings) heads to Table Rock Lake in Missouri for some fun for about 10 days. His grandparent's own a lakehouse overlooking the lake and we always have a great time wakeboarding, skiing, waverunning, playing games, touring Silver Dollar City (an 1880's style amusement park with all sorts of shops, rides, etc in Branson) , and just having sweet fellowship together. A picture Katherine took of me before we headed out on vacation:) Grandpa and Matthew taking the waverunner for a spin. Matthew loved this! It's always great to be around people who are so encouraging, uplifting, and love the Lord with everything they are. I always feel so near to God when I am watching a beautiful sunset/sunrise over the lake and am away from all the business of city life. I loved getting up in the mornings and going for a jog before everyone...

Why I love my cell phone...

(I know I know...2 posts in one week! Try to contain yourself...) As I was browsing through the 400+ photos I've taken (along with the kids) on my cell phone, I realized that many of them are crazy, random, and fun memories that I've been able to capture all on my little device. Some have been while on the road to the grandparents house, some have been out to eat, and some have been here at home. Nonetheless, I thought they were fun and would share them! My cell phone has this fun little program with all sorts of photo borders that we got a little carried away with one day while we were waiting in the car for Daniel. Matthew in Jail... Katherine, my little monkey... Turning on that Hollywood heat... Christopher, my other monkey... Aghhh...I'm in jail! So this is what we do when we go to McDonalds and I have to use the potty. The last time we went, Christopher was so fascinated with the LOUD noise the toilets made every time you flush and had to investigate it further. Of c...

What's Going On with the Farmer Kids?

I know it's been so long since I've posted a decent update on what's going on with us! Here's a much needed update on our little munchkins- Aren't these clouds beautiful?? Katherine lost her second tooth the other day in the car!! She was so excited that the Tooth Fairy was going to come that night (well she hoped;-) Since Daniel was out of town all week on a business trip and Grandma Farmer was visiting that day, I completely forgot about putting the dollar under her pillow!! We had put her tooth in a felt type gray bag and supposedly in the middle of the night, which I don't remember at all, she came in crying that the tooth fairy hadn't come to bring her a dollar and that her tooth was still there. I felt HORRIBLE the next morning that I completely forgot! So I tried to cover myself and told her that I BET the Tooth Fairy couldn't see her tooth since it was in that gray bag and the Tooth Fairy is soo small (like Tinkerbell size) so she probably just c...
